Environment and Energy Minister Stavros Papastavrou revealed that new oil companies have shown interest in hydrocarbon exploration in Greece's offshore blocks, according to his interview with To Vima on Sunday, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonia

He emphasized that Greece is exercising its sovereign rights with concrete actions based on strategic planning, regardless of Turkey’s stance.

Papastavrou also announced an upcoming urban planning reform aimed at ending unequal treatment of citizens, and confirmed the introduction of new “orange” dynamic electricity tariffs, which are expected to bring major benefits to both consumers and the energy system.
