North Macedonia’s Parliament Speaker in Azerbaijan

Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi is on an official visit to Azerbaijan to participate in the 65th Plenary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation taking place in Baku on June 17-19, CE Report quotes MIA.

Gashi was welcomed Tuesday by Deputy Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Rafael Huseynov, MP Fazil Mustafa and other officials. Next, he is set to meet with Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker Sahiba Gafarova, who also chairs the BSEC PA and will deliver the opening speech at the plenary session.

The Macedonian delegation led by Gashi includes MP Petar Markov, chair of the parliamentary group for cooperation with Azerbaijan, MP Imrlije Saliu Fetai and Parliament general secretary Marina Dimovska.

During his visit to Baku, Gashi will also meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov and Minister of Economy Mikhail Dzhabarov.
