Moldova gains strong support for EU path in Vienna
Support for the European path of the Republic of Moldova was reaffirmed during meetings held in Vienna between the Speaker of Parliament Igor Grosu, Markus Stotter, President of the Federal Council, and members of the friendship group with Moldova, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES.
“I was pleased to see clear support from all political forces for our country’s European path. This multipartisan support is essential and gives us confidence that we can move forward together,” Grosu said.
He emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships to advance Moldova’s European integration process.
“We are ready to further strengthen this partnership and develop cooperation between our parliaments,” the Speaker concluded.
Speaker Igor Grosu is on an official visit to Austria from April 19–21, at the invitation of his counterpart, President of the National Council of Austria Walter Rosenkrantz. He is scheduled to meet several officials in Vienna, with discussions focusing on strengthening Moldovan-Austrian relations, deepening parliamentary dialogue, and Austria’s support for Moldova’s European path.
Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on March 25, 1992.
