Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed regret over his recent meeting with former U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House, stating it did not go as planned, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

In a post on X, Zelenskyy reiterated Ukraine’s willingness to negotiate with Russia, emphasizing the need for constructive future cooperation. He also affirmed his readiness to work under Trump’s leadership.

Outlining initial steps to end the war, Zelenskyy proposed releasing prisoners, a "truce in the sky" to ban missile and drone strikes on civilian infrastructure, and an immediate "truce at sea."

He expressed gratitude for past U.S. support, particularly Trump’s provision of Javelin missiles. Additionally, he confirmed Ukraine’s openness to agreements on minerals and security.

The statement comes as Trump ordered a "pause" in U.S. military aid to Ukraine following their White House meeting last week.
