Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, focusing on economic ties and regional developments, particularly Syria, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

Mitsotakis highlighted that the €4 billion foreign investment goal from the UAE into Greece has been surpassed, and both leaders set a framework for further strengthening economic cooperation. Discussions also covered the rapid advancements in artificial intelligence, with Greece emerging as a key player in AI infrastructure.

The prime minister invited the UAE president to visit Greece soon to reinforce bilateral ties. Talks also explored opportunities in energy, digital technology, data centers, and connectivity, with an emphasis on renewable energy and Greece’s strategic role as an economic bridge between India, the Middle East, and Europe.
