Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited the United Arab Emirates for the fourth time, meeting with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed in Abu Dhabi on Thursday. The visit reaffirms the strong Greece-UAE partnership established in 2020 and aims to further deepen economic, political, and defense ties, government sources said, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

Amid global geopolitical shifts, Mitsotakis is expected to discuss regional developments, particularly in the Middle East, positioning Greece as a bridge between the region and Europe through the IMEEC Economic Corridor.

Economic cooperation between the two nations continues to expand, with a €4 billion bilateral investment initiative—signed in 2022—already fully allocated to sectors like infrastructure, renewable energy, healthcare, and food. Investments in hospitality, real estate, and technology have also surged, while Athens seeks further UAE-backed projects in energy, digital technology, and agrifood industries.

This visit underscores the growing economic and strategic alliance between Greece and the UAE, with both nations committed to fostering stability and development in the region.
