Poland’s Interior Ministry comments on emergency numbers glitch - EXCLUSIVE

Poland

Widespread disruptions on Poland's emergency phone lines were reported on 14 October across multiple regions.

In an exclusive interview with CE Report, the Ministry of the Interior and Administration of Poland stated that it had observed issues with handling inbound calls to emergency numbers from mobile phones registered with a particular network carrier.

"These issues persisted from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. The emergency numbers are now working across the entire country, the underlying fault was resolved and the root cause analysis is underway," the statement reads.

The authorities emphasize that the Ministry of the Interior and Administration was not responsible for this fault.

"Which is why we have not requested support from the EU agencies for cybersecurity and communications," the ministry concluded.
