Poles to Outpace Japan in 2025

Poland

At a deregulation forum held at the Warsaw Stock Exchange on Monday, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said Poland's purchasing power is set to overtake Japan's in 2025. He outlined the government's ambition to elevate the standard of living through innovation, a smart economy, and sweeping deregulation, CE Report quotes PAP

Tusk noted that over 125 deregulation initiatives have already been approved—surpassing the government’s initial target of 100. A special deregulation team, composed of leading business figures, has been working to simplify regulations and boost entrepreneurship.

Rafał Brzoska, head of the deregulation team and CEO of InPost, announced that the group had proposed 500 reforms in just over 100 days. Of those, 175 have been formalized and nearly 20 signed into law. Brzoska credited the achievement to the work of over 600 volunteer experts and the engagement of thousands of citizens who submitted ideas.
