On a visit to Southeast Asia, Polish President Andrzej Duda met with Singaporean President Tharman Shanmugaratnam to discuss economic cooperation, investment, cybersecurity, defense, and emerging technologies. Duda highlighted Poland’s Central Transportation Hub (CPK) as a key opportunity for Singaporean investment, positioning Poland as a gateway to the EU market, CE Report quotes PAP

The leaders also explored defense collaboration, including the potential development of a new combat vehicle with Singapore’s ST Engineering to replace Poland's Rosomak. Discussions also touched on the activities of global port operator PSA in Gdansk.

Duda expressed interest in Singapore’s digitalisation and use of AI and robotics in port operations. He thanked Singapore for its strong stance against Russia’s aggression in Ukraine, a rare position in the region.

Duda will attend a business forum and meet Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong later this week.
