Poland Warns Migrants

Poland

Poland's Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski announced on Friday that an informational campaign has been launched in Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Somalia, Pakistan, and Egypt to discourage potential migrants from attempting to enter Poland illegally. In a post on X, Sikorski emphasized that Poland has successfully protected its borders, CE Report quotes PAP

A video accompanying the campaign shows the fortified Polish-Belarussian border and warns that migrants will be denied asylum rights. It also accuses those promising migrants an easy life in Europe of lying.

This move comes as Poland extends the suspension of asylum rights, first introduced in March, which prevents asylum seekers from applying for international protection for 60 days.
