North Macedonia Plans $700M World Bank Support for Public Services and Climate Resilience

The 2025 Budget remains development-oriented and focused on value-added projects, with a particular attention to infrastructure including the high-speed railway on Corridor 10 - an investment that will strengthen the competitiveness of the economy and bring long-term stability, said Minister of Finance Gordana Dimitrieska Kochoska who met with Vice President of the Europe and Central Asia Region at the World Bank, Antonella Bassani, in Luxembourg on Thursday, CE Report quotes MIA.

Dimitrieska Kochoska said in a Facebook post that the meeting was fruitful, with talks focusing on strategic priorities that are key to economic growth, capital investments and fiscal consolidation.

"Talks also tackled the use of approximately USD 700 million from the Country Partnership Framework with the World Bank for the 2024-2028 period, to support more efficient public services, more productive jobs and greater resilience to climate change," said the Minister.
