
North Macedonia, UAE Deepen Security Cooperation
Minister of Interior Panche Toshkovski posted on Facebook that he is paying a visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), at the invitation of his Emirati counterpart, to take part in the World Police Summit in Dubai, CE Report quotes MIA.
As part of the visit, Minister Toshkovski has held a bilateral meeting with the UAE Minister of Interior, Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This was their second meeting in a short time, which is yet another indicator of the intensification of relations and mutual trust between the two countries.
"Talks focused on promoting strategic security cooperation, especially in the area of combating transnational organized crime, terrorism and new security threats that know no borders. Interlocutors centred on operationalization of the signed security cooperation agreement, through setting up joint operational teams and information exchange. The United Arab Emirates remains one of our partners in the global security architecture, and this meeting is yet another step forward in that joint engagement," Interior Minister Panche Toshkovski said in the Facebook post.
