A serious accident occurred on the evening of April 11, 2025, near Podu Iloaiei, Iași County, Romania, involving a Moldovan-registered car and a passenger train on the Iași–Hârlău route, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

One woman died in the collision, while two others — the driver and a passenger — were critically injured and taken to Sfântul Spiridon emergency hospital in Iași with multiple severe injuries.

According to Moldova’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Consulate General in Iași is in ongoing contact with Romanian authorities and the victims’ families, offering consular support including medical assistance and repatriation procedures.
