One-Time Payment for 1,100+ Social Workers
Over 1,100 community social workers will receive a one-time payment of 8,000 lei as part of a new initiative aimed at recognizing their efforts. The payment is intended for frontline employees who support vulnerable citizens daily. Minister of Labor and Social Protection Alexei Buzu announced the initiative today, highlighting the importance of these specialists in the successful implementation of the RESTART reform, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES
"This support acknowledges their dedication, especially in the context of the RESTART reform. These professionals are the true pillars of our social protection system," Buzu stated.
The payment will be provided to 1,007 community social workers under the ministry's jurisdiction. Additionally, 1,648 other social workers will receive a 2,500 lei payment. This follows similar support given last year, when over 9,700 social workers benefited from a salary bonus.
