Moldova

Five educational institutions in Moldova's Model Schools Network will be equipped with state-of-the-art interactive tables worth over one million lei, donated by a leading electronic equipment company. The new technology, designed to enhance the teaching process, was showcased at an event attended by Education and Research Minister Dan Perciun, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

Launched in 2023 by the Education and Research Ministry (MEC), the Model Schools Network initially included 35 institutions, with modernization investments totaling 2 million euros. Minister Perciun revealed plans to expand the program to 90 schools, highlighting private sector contributions, including a significant donation from Huawei.

“Huawei’s support provides five schools with some of the most advanced interactive tables on the market. This partnership exemplifies how private investments can bolster educational modernization,” said Perciun.

Guo Min, Director of Huawei Moldova, emphasized the importance of investing in education to ensure a prosperous future. “We are proud to support digital education initiatives and equip Moldova’s schools with innovative technologies to empower the next generation,” Guo Min stated.

The beneficiaries of the interactive tables include the Stefan Voda Theoretical Lyceum, Alexei Mateevici Theoretical Lyceum, Mihai Eminescu Theoretical Lyceum, and Vasile Coroban Theoretical Lyceum.

This initiative is part of MEC's broader efforts to modernize schools with advanced technology and equipment, fostering a more innovative learning environment.
