53-year-old model Heidi Klum has spoken about the inspiration behind her striking Halloween costume for 2026.

The costume was created by Heidi's longtime collaborator Mike Marino, and the Project Runway host continues to be amazed by his attention to detail, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

“We even recreated my engagement ring and wedding ring, as well as the tiny tattoo on my finger. It's not just a giant hand: it's my giant hand! The details are what make these costumes so special,” Klum told Vogue magazine.

She arrived at her annual Halloween party on Saturday night dressed as a severed hand, complete with red nail polish and several rings.

“It's actually my hand, even the veins, everything. You know that nowadays you can do anything with 3D printing? They can scan your body and everything else. We started at 3:00 today, so this time it wasn't too bad,” she told Good Morning America.

The model wanted people to see her costume as “weird and funny.”

“I always love doing something unexpected. Every year I want to surprise people and do something they have never seen me or anyone else do before. Halloween is my favourite time of the year because it gives me the opportunity to transform completely and become something entirely different,” she said.

Heidi is married to Tokio Hotel guitarist Tom Kaulitz. She has four children with her former husband, Seal.
