Shakira has concluded her European residency, with 13 sold-out concerts and more than 700,000 spectators in the Spanish capital, creating one of the most ambitious live music events ever staged in Europe.

The residency also generated an economic impact of more than $200 million, driving tourism and hotel bookings to levels that surpassed even those recorded during major events such as the visit of Pope Leo XIV and Formula 1, CE Report quotes ANSA.

Throughout the residency, the global superstar shared unforgettable moments with an exceptional lineup of artists, including Dua Lipa, Laura Pausini, Alejandro Sanz, Maluma, Beéle, Manuel Turizo, Dani Martín and Bizarrap, celebrating the power and global influence of Latin music.

Shakira also debuted at No. 1 on Pollstar's September Live75 chart, thanks to the outstanding box office results of the first nine concerts of her 13-date European residency, part of the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.

The first nine performances sold a total of 452,097 tickets, averaging 50,233 spectators per concert and securing the top position on the chart.

Worldwide, the tour has now surpassed 4 million tickets sold and $534 million in reported revenue, further consolidating its record as the highest-grossing tour of all time by a Latin artist.

Madrid became the epicentre of this historic success with the creation of Shak's City, a 185,000-square-metre cultural space featuring a stadium specially designed by the renowned international architecture firm BIG.

Through Es Latina, Shakira transformed a music residency into an immersive celebration of music, art, literature, fashion and gastronomy. The initiative involved more than 1,500 artists and performers and offered over 400 hours of cultural programming, generating a significant economic and cultural impact across the city.

The residency also marked a historic milestone for Amazon Music, setting a record for the most-viewed livestreamed musical performance by a female artist on the platform.
