Emily Blunt to receive major career honor
Emily Blunt is set to receive one of the most significant honors of her career.
The Oscar-nominated actress will be presented with the 19th Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Cinema at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF), CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.
Already the recipient of an Actor Award (formerly the SAG Award) for John Krasinski’s atmospheric thriller A Quiet Place and a Golden Globe for Gideon’s Daughter, Blunt will succeed last year’s honoree, Cynthia Erivo.
The special event, with proceeds supporting the festival’s educational programs, will take place on Thursday, December 10, in Santa Barbara, according to Variety.
