Taylor Swift makes surprise appearance at Toy Story 5 premiere
American pop superstar Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance at the Hollywood premiere of Toy Story 5, according to Reuters, EFE, and Variety.
Wearing a long gown, Swift took to the stage at the Dolby Theatre and sat down at a piano to perform "I Knew It, I Knew You," the song she wrote for the latest installment of the beloved Toy Story franchise. The singer revealed that she has long been an admirer of the animated film series, CE Report quotes AGERPRES.
"It means so much to me to be part, even in a small way, of the universe of these films," Swift told the audience.
She also described Toy Story 5 as her favorite movie in the franchise.
"'Toy Story 5' is my favorite of all the Toy Story films. I feel so lucky to be a part of this," she said.
Speaking about the movie, Swift added: "It is incredibly beautiful. It is a masterpiece."
The singer later introduced another surprise guest, Randy Newman, who composed the scores and many of the iconic songs featured throughout the Toy Story series. Together, they performed a duet of You've Got a Friend in Me, Newman's classic hit from the original 1995 Toy Story film.
Earlier in the evening, Swift walked the red carpet alongside Tom Hanks, Joan Cusack, and other members of the film's voice cast.
Toy Story 5 will be released by Pixar Animation Studios, part of The Walt Disney Company, on June 19.
