Moldova, Poland explore joint cultural projects
Cultural cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and Poland was discussed during a working visit to Poland by Moldova’s Minister of Culture, Cristian Jardan, who met with Poland’s Minister of Culture and National Heritage, Marta Cienkowska.
The talks focused on strengthening the bilateral partnership and launching joint cultural projects, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES.
“We discussed how we can further strengthen cultural cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and Poland, as well as the possibility of developing joint initiatives that would include exchanges of expertise and the organization of shared cultural and educational events,” said Minister of Culture Cristian Jardan.
Another topic addressed was the expansion of artistic collaboration and the use of Poland’s experience in the field of cultural heritage, an area considered a priority by the authorities in Chișinău.
“We aim to expand artistic cooperation between museums, theaters, and in the field of cinema through exhibitions, co-productions, artistic residencies, and mobility programs for cultural professionals. In addition, Poland has solid experience in protecting cultural heritage, and our interest is to capitalize on this expertise,” Cristian Jardan added.
At the same time, the Minister of Culture visited the headquarters of Poland’s Institute of National Remembrance, where partnerships were established to strengthen institutional cooperation and adopt best practices in the field of historical memory.
“At the headquarters of the Institute of National Remembrance in Poland, we discussed the projects carried out by this important institution, one of the largest in the region. We established a very strong partnership, and I am confident that soon a delegation of the Institute will visit the Republic of Moldova. Together with the members of the Memory Council in Chișinău, we will build a long-term partnership and adopt the best Polish practices in this field,” said Minister of Culture Cristian Jardan.
Minister Jardan paid a high-level visit to the Republic of Poland as part of the official delegation led by President Maia Sandu, at the invitation of Polish President Karol Nawrocki. The visit aimed to strengthen bilateral cultural cooperation, promote exchanges of experience, and develop joint projects between the two countries.
