Just 18 years old, the youngest competitor in his category, he placed third at the prestigious Severino Gazzelloni International Flute Competition in Naples, competing against participants from all continents, CE Report quotes ANSA.

The star is Michelangelo Arrigucci, a student in class 5M of the "Cicognini-Rodari" music high school in Prato.

For the competition, his semifinal repertoire included Fauré’s Fantaisie Op. 79 and F. Martin’s Ballade for flute and piano, while in the final round he performed Mercadante’s Flute Concerto in E minor.

In the B category, first place went to Stih Iza from Slovenia, and second to Francesco Femia.
Born in Pescia (Pistoia) in 2007, Michelangelo Arrigucci has stood out from a young age in both national and international competitions, as a soloist and in chamber and ensemble groups.

His third-place finish at the Severino Gazzelloni International Flute Competition, a top-level event, confirms that Arrigucci is already establishing himself as one of the most promising young flute talents in Italy.

Alongside his studies in Prato under flute teacher Matteo Romoli, Michelangelo has also enriched his musical training through masterclasses with internationally renowned musicians.
