"Audience Favorite Announced at Burgas Song Contest"

The song Spomen ot Predi, performed by newcomer Philip Donkov, won the Audience Award at the 42nd Burgas i Moreto (Burgas and the Sea) National Song Contest on Saturday. With lyrics by Ruzha Mateeva and music by George Miltiyadoff, the entry was selected by live audience vote at the Summer Theater in Burgas, CE Report quotes BTA

The Online Listeners’ Award went to Posokata Kam Men, performed by Boyana Karpatova, with lyrics by Yavor Kirin and music by Svetoslav Loboshki. The award was presented by BTA Director General Kiril Valchev, who also served on the jury.

The jury's top prize was awarded to Sled Lyubovta, written and performed by Georgi Dyulgerov, with lyrics by Kostadin Filipov. The entry received a statuette and BGN 4,500.

Producer Prof. Adrian Georgiev awarded a recording prize to both the group A Cloud Embraced and Victoria Kamencheva. The Plamen Stavrev Young Performer Award went to an emerging artist for the fifth year in a row, along with a statuette and BGN 1,500.

The Chernomorski Far newspaper awarded Vicky Ruseva for best lyrics for her self-written song Avgust.
