Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister Grozdan Karadjov and BTA Director General Kiril Valchev validated a commemorative postage stamp on the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, marking the Bulgarian Alphabet, Education and Culture Day. The event coincided with the opening of the 20th World Meeting of Bulgarian Media in Sofia, CE Report quotes BTA

Karadjov described the stamp as a “tiny monument” that preserves Bulgarian culture and language for generations. Valchev highlighted that postage stamps, while originally a proof of payment, have become symbols of significant events. The new stamp features an image by Lyudmil Veselinov, depicting the holy brothers at Klisurski Monastery, underscoring Bulgaria’s contribution of the Cyrillic alphabet to the EU.

The stamp, with a face value of BGN 0.95, carries the meeting’s theme, “Media and Knowledge,” along with BTA’s logo.
