The Ivan Vazov National Theatre marked its 120th anniversary with the release of a special edition of the Bulgarian News Agency's (BTA) LIK magazine. Theatre Manager Vasil Vasilev expressed his gratitude, calling the magazine a highlight of an “incredible year for the National Theatre, both creatively and provocatively.” CE Report quotes BTA

The December issue was unveiled on Friday at BTA’s MaxiM Multimedia Centre in Sofia, with videoconferencing links to all BTA press clubs in Bulgaria and abroad.

During the event, Vasilev emphasized the theatre’s leading role in Bulgaria’s cultural landscape, stating it remains true to the vision set by its founders in 1904, who “showed us our European future.”

BTA Director General Kiril Valchev and LIK editor-in-chief Georgi Lozanov presented the issue, joined by Vasilev and theatre critic Nikolay Yordanov.
