Andrijana Katić, Federal Minister of Transport and Communications of Bosnia and Herzegovina, signed agreements with representatives of cantons, cantonal road administrations, cities, and municipalities in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the FBiH Government building in Mostar on the allocation of funds for the construction, rehabilitation, and reconstruction of regional and local roads, as well as city streets.

Ivo Bevanda, Minister of Transport and Communications of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, and Minister Katić signed an agreement on the co-financing of the Main Project for the reconstruction and modernization of the regional road R435a (Potoci – Rujište – Ćesim), specifically the Humi–Lišani section, which is 1.4 kilometers long, CE Report informs via the Government of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton's official website.

The value of the project amounts to 2.5 million convertible marks (KM), of which the federal ministry will provide 900,000 KM, while the cantonal ministry, or rather the Government of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, will secure the remaining 1.6 million KM, as envisaged by the Plan and Program of the Roads Administration under the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

Among other things, the project includes modernization of the roadway through asphalt resurfacing and the construction of bus stops along the road.

The signatories of today’s agreements fulfilled the requirements of the Public Call under the “Capital Transfers to Other Levels of Government and Funds” expenditure program, established by the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Budget for the current year.

The purpose of the Public Call was to finance projects aimed at improving road infrastructure and road safety on regional and other roads, with the goal of enhancing quality of life and supporting production, social, and demographic recovery in the cantons, cities, and municipalities of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
