
Greece Links Rent Aid to Bank Payments
Rent payments in Greece will now need to go through the banking system, Minister of National Economy and Finance Kyriakos Pierrakakis announced Wednesday at the "Greece 2025–2030" conference, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian
For citizens, paying rent via bank transfer will be required to receive financial support. For businesses, rent payments for commercial properties must also be made through banks in order to deduct the expense from taxes.
Pierrakakis noted that much of Greece’s economic transformation is already underway. “Citizens are starting to feel daily improvements,” he said, expressing confidence that Greece will be even stronger by 2030. He highlighted a 2.3% growth rate—above the eurozone average—but stressed the need for continued progress.
