Moldova Launches eReceipts
For the first time, merchants in Moldova will be able to use virtual cash registers and electronic tax receipts (eBon), as part of a new government initiative to ease administrative burdens and support entrepreneurs—especially in rural areas, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES
The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitization says the measure removes key barriers and reduces costs for small and medium-sized businesses. Virtual registers, costing around 75 lei per month, can be used via phone, tablet, or computer, issuing receipts by email or SMS, with an option to print.
“This digital solution offers real benefits: lower costs, simpler procedures, and more transparency,” said Deputy Prime Minister Doina Nistor.
Experts estimate the change could save small businesses thousands of lei annually. The draft law will be submitted to Parliament for approval.
