The Greek government is aiming for fiscal "air" to implement a new round of tax reductions, as Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has indicated. Recent budget data shows a tax revenue surplus of over 0.5 billion euros for the first two months of 2025, fueling expectations for stable, additional revenue from anti-tax evasion measures and stronger economic growth. This positions the government to introduce permanent tax relief for citizens, particularly the middle class.

A clearer fiscal outlook is expected in the summer, with tourism performance data playing a key role in shaping future decisions.
