Romania's economy expanded by 0.9% in 2024, with GDP rising 0.7% in the fourth quarter compared to the same period in 2023, according to flash estimates from the National Institute of Statistics (INS), CE Report quotes Agerpres

On a seasonally adjusted basis, GDP in Q4 2024 increased by 0.8% from the previous quarter. Revisions to past data adjusted Q1 and Q3 growth rates slightly, aligning with European statistical practices.

The latest figures indicate a steady but moderate economic expansion as Romania navigates global and regional challenges.
