The Moldovan government has approved the country’s participation in the Expo Osaka 2025 World Exhibition, which will feature over 150 countries and is expected to attract around 28 million visitors over six months. Funding for Moldova’s participation will come from the budget of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization (MDED), CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

The national authority responsible for organizing Moldova’s presence at the event will be Moldexpo, with financial transfers facilitated through MDED.

“This exhibition is a valuable opportunity to promote Moldova internationally and showcase its economic potential in various sectors. Japan, as a key economic partner and donor of technical and financial assistance, holds strategic importance for Moldova,” stated MDED representatives.

Expo Osaka 2025 will take place from April 13 to October 13, 2025.

At the previous world exhibition in Dubai in 2021, Moldova’s pavilion attracted 174,133 visitors from 113 countries, hosted 27 activities, and welcomed 70 delegations. Moldova also received three prestigious awards: a silver prize for content development in the Mobility District, a diploma for the best pavilion logo, and a diploma for the most hospitable pavilion.
