Ukraine calls for global action after Russia's shelling of Sumy

War in Ukraine

After Russia's shelling of Sumy, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal emphasized that Russia demonstrates a desire to continue terror and called on the world to increase pressure on the aggressor country.

He wrote about this in Telegram and showed photos and videos of the consequences of the Russian missile strike, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.

“Ukraine seeks peace, and Russia once again demonstrates its desire to continue terror. The international community must increase pressure on Russia to stop the aggression and ensure justice and save the lives of Ukrainians,” Shmyhal said.

He noted that Russian troops struck at civilian infrastructure in Sumy. Residential buildings were damaged in the city, and civilians, including children, were injured.

The State Emergency Service units are eliminating the consequences of the enemy strikes and providing all necessary assistance, the Prime Minister added.
