Ukrainian military receives new T12 boat for rescue, combat missions

War in Ukraine

Charity donors and artists have handed over another T12 boat to the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR).

Ukraine's military intelligence agency announced this on its Facebook page, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.

The Ukrainian-made T12 boat, designed for medical evacuation, civilian rescue missions from frontline regions, and other water operations, has been delivered to the military intelligence's special forces as part of the "Boats for HUR" project.

The initiative is being carried out by the Diana Podolianchuk Charity Foundation in partnership with the Main Intelligence Directorate.

The T12 boat is equipped with modern navigation and radio equipment and features two powerful engines, providing a speed of up to 95 km/h. Its range is 500 km. Thanks to these specifications, the boat is used in both transport and combat missions, including those with unmanned watercraft.

"We are handing over the boat to the HUR troops who carry out special missions on water. First and foremost, these include rescuing civilians from frontline areas, medical evacuation, as well as combat raids that undermine the enemy's defense capabilities. We hope this powerful vessel will assist our guys in fulfilling their tasks," Podolianchuk said.

"This is a great boat, which, thanks to its versatile design, serves as both a fire support vessel and a medevac boat. It has a durable aluminum hull, damage-resistant sides, and the ability to modify the deck's configuration depending on the specific tasks we need to accomplish," a HUR official said.
