Speaking at a Turkish Exporters Association (TIM) event, Erdogan announced that Türkiye reached $262 billion in exports in 2024, increasing its global market share to 1.07%. The number of companies exporting over $1 billion rose to 18, while 302 firms exceeded $100 million.

He noted that May 2025 exports reached a record $24.8 billion, up 2.7% year-on-year. Türkiye’s economy grew by 3.2% in 2024 and 2% in Q1 2025, marking 19 consecutive quarters of growth. Erdogan credited the medium-term economic plan for boosting resilience and reducing external dependency.

In defense, Erdogan highlighted Türkiye’s $15 billion turnover in 2024 and $6.7 billion in defense exports to 180 countries. He emphasized the global impact of Turkish UAVs, saying two of every three sold worldwide are made in Türkiye, and expressed optimism for the national fighter jet Kaan.

Amid global tensions and economic uncertainty, Erdogan stressed Türkiye’s commitment to strategic planning: “We are not leaving things to chance; we are preparing for every possible scenario.”
