Governor Mustafa Masatlı said in his speech that Hatay, with its ancient history, unique culture, and rich cuisine, is among the leading cities of both Türkiye and the world.

Masatlı noted that the number of geographically indicated products in Hatay increased from 25 after the February 6, 2023, earthquakes to 64 today.

He added, “We were ranked 24th in geographical indications, now we are 3rd in Türkiye. We also have 56 products awaiting registration.”

He wished the newly registered products success for the country.

Stressing ongoing efforts to brand Hatay as a strong city, Masatlı said, “Hatay is becoming a new Hatay after February 6. This new Hatay is steadily progressing toward becoming one of the most beautiful cities in Türkiye and a global brand city.”

After the speeches, Provincial Planning and Coordination Director Mustafa Örgüt presented the geographical indication certificates to Governor Masatlı and other officials.
