World’s best cities for 2026: top 10

British media group Time Out has named its “best cities for 2026,” with half of the top 10 located in the Asia-Pacific region.

This year’s annual survey gathered responses from 24,000 people across 150 cities worldwide, and the Australian metropolis Melbourne ranked number one, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

In second place is Shanghai: visiting this financial hub of 25 million people is an exciting experience, but it is also praised for its access to China’s vast high-speed rail network, with peaceful countryside and centuries-old villages never far away.

In third place is Edinburgh, the Scottish capital overlooked by an extinct volcano. Few cities are as rich in history, from the medieval streets of the Old Town to the wide boulevards of the 18th-century New Town, writes CNN.
