North Macedonia posts higher tourism figures on strong foreign demand

In the period January – December 2025, compared to the same period last year, the number of tourists in North Macedonia increased by 6.0%: the number of domestic tourists decreased by 2.2%, while that of foreign tourists increased by 10.3%, the State Statistical Office said.

From January to December 2025, compared with the same period in the previous year, the number of nights spent increased by 0.8%.

The number of nights spent by domestic tourists decreased by 4.1%, while those by foreign tourists increased by 6.4%, CE Report quotes MIA.

In December 2025, 36.7% were domestic tourists, and 63.3% were foreign tourists.

The number of nights spent in December 2025 was 112,001, of which 42.4% were realised by domestic and the other 57.6% by foreign tourists.
