Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images of the grandeur of the Albanian Alps, blanketed in white snow, presented through “Wanderlust in Albania 2,” produced by Bleron Caka, one of the winners of the International Photo and Video Reels Contest.
The International Photography and Video Reels Contest “Wanderlust in Albania” returned for the second year, following the success of its first edition, revealing the beauty of Albania through the eyes of travelers and visitors with photos and video reels they captured during their trips across the country.
Photographers and videographers (both professional and amateur) from Albania and 36 countries around the world contributed stunning images and footage in this edition as well, showcasing Albania’s natural beauty as well as its cultural and historical heritage.
One of these was a video by Bleron Caka, who chose the Albanian Alps, a destination that increasingly attracts visitors with its unique beauty.
The Albanian Alps, with their natural beauty, remain an absolute tourist attraction, drawing both domestic and international visitors throughout the year.
Characterized by mountainous terrain with diverse contrasts, interspersed with river valleys with crystal-clear waters, gorges, and mountain passes that invite further exploration of nature, and rich vegetation, the Albanian Alps represent a pearl with unique value for Albania.
The mountain peaks in this region seem to reach the sky. Their stunning beauty is reflected in the clear waters of rivers such as Shala, Valbona, Curraj, Cemi, Moraça, and in glacial lakes such as Pejë, Jezercë, Dobërdol, Sylbicë, offering a fairy-tale tranquility and an adrenaline rush that changes with every moment while enjoying the abundant beauty of this area.
