Wizz Air launches direct Skopje-Stuttgart route
With its first flight today at 6:25 AM from Skopje International Airport to Stuttgart, Wizz Air has launched another new route from North Macedonia’s capital to Germany, TAV Macedonia (a subsidiary of TAV Airports and member of the ADP Group) announced, CE Report quotes MIA.
“In cooperation with Wizz Air and the Government, TAV Airports is proud to serve passengers on this new regular flight route from Skopje to Stuttgart. These flights will meet the needs of our citizens, businesspeople, and diaspora. We will continue to invest in airport modernization and service improvements, offering high-quality passenger experiences and promoting the country as an attractive destination and regional transit hub,” said Nejat Kurt, General Director of TAV Macedonia.
The airline will operate three flights per week—Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
During the summer schedule (until October 24), the departure time from Skopje is:
06:25 AM on Mondays and Fridays (arrival in Stuttgart at 11:10 AM local time)
06:30 AM on Wednesdays (arrival at 11:10 AM local time)
In the winter season, the same flight schedule remains, but arrival time will be 11:30 AM for all days.
With Stuttgart added to Skopje’s route map, Wizz Air now operates nine routes from Skopje to Germany: Stuttgart, Berlin, Dortmund, Baden-Baden, Friedrichshafen, Hamburg, Frankfurt-Hahn, Munich-Memmingen, and Nuremberg.
Stuttgart is a destination with something for everyone. With direct flights from Skopje, car enthusiasts can visit the Mercedes-Benz and Porsche headquarters and museums, which draw thousands annually. The city also boasts vineyards within its urban area, a nationally renowned Wine Festival, and the Cannstatter Volksfest, Germany’s second-largest festival after Oktoberfest.
Stuttgart’s top cultural attractions include its opera house, state theater, and many museums and galleries. A standout feature is the "Green U"—a series of interconnected U-shaped parks that offer a balance of urban life and nature.
The new Skopje-Stuttgart route is not just a geographical connection but a bridge between families, friends, ideas, businesses, and new beginnings. For the Macedonian diaspora, direct flights three times a week mean better connectivity and fewer kilometers from home, the announcement states.
