Moldova has inaugurated a new 4-km ecotourism trail, The Charm of Dniester, in the Dubasari district, connecting the villages of Marcauti, Molovata, and Molovata Noua. The route highlights the region's natural beauty, biodiversity, and local traditions, offering an authentic alternative to mass tourism, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

Developed with support from local authorities, civil society, and Polish Aid Moldova, the trail promotes sustainable rural tourism. It includes scenic viewpoints, birdwatching spots, restored mills, and local gastronomic experiences. Visitors can engage in hands-on activities such as jam-making and bread baking while connecting with local communities.

Integrated into the Eko App Moldova, the trail provides digital maps, information panels, and eco-markers to guide tourists and enhance their experience. The initiative aims to boost the local economy and inspire community-led development, especially in rural areas.

State Secretary Andrei Chistol praised the trail as a strategic model of digitalized, community-driven tourism, offering real opportunities for both locals and visitors.
