Enhancing cooperation in the field of tourism is of great importance for Kosovo and Finland. The Finnish Ambassador to Pristina, Matti Nissinen, emphasized the need for more Kosovars to visit Finland as an attractive tourist destination during a reception organized this evening to promote tourism, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

He expressed confidence that Kosovo also has much to offer Finnish tourists.

"Our initiative is to increase travel between Finland and Kosovo. We want to bring more people from Finland here because we believe Kosovo has a lot to offer Finnish tourists. But we need to raise awareness and increase knowledge about the opportunities here. At the same time, we want to encourage people from Kosovo to visit Finland," said Nissinen.

The Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship, and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari, stated that Kosovo and Finland aim to collaborate on tourism development as well as other sectors. She highlighted the creation of important tools to support the growth of the economy and tourism.

"The shared goal of MINT and the Finnish Embassy is to further develop the tourism sector and other sectors of innovation while fostering networking between businesses. Enhancing economic cooperation between Kosovo and Finland is key. We have developed important tools to support the promotion of Kosovo's cultural and natural tourism potential. In this regard, we expect close cooperation with various international actors to promote tourism," Hajdari explained.

She emphasized the ministry's commitment to bringing tourism stakeholders from Finland and other countries to better understand Kosovo, beyond external perceptions that may be based on misunderstandings or inaccurate views of the country.

"More Finnish visitors to Kosovo means more tourists from Finland and the world discovering our country," she added.
