Stellantis Halts Hydrogen Vehicle Program
Stellantis has announced its decision to halt the development program for hydrogen fuel cell technology, CE Report quotes ANSA.
This was stated in a company press release, which explained the decision was due to the "limited availability of hydrogen refueling infrastructure, high capital requirements, and the need for greater purchase incentives for consumers."
As a result, the company "does not foresee the adoption of hydrogen-powered light commercial vehicles before the end of the decade" and "will no longer launch its new hydrogen-powered Pro One vehicle range this year."
The statement also clarified that "this decision will have no impact on personnel."
