Oradea Hosts Global Robotics Championship

Over 700 robotics enthusiasts from 13 countries will compete in the Robotics Championship at Oradea’s 'Antonio Alexe' Sports Hall on May 16–17. The event promotes STEM education and hands-on experience with robotics and programming, aiming to inspire the next generation of engineers, CE Report quotes Agerpres

Participants hail from countries including the Philippines, Egypt, Türkiye, China, and Ukraine, fostering global collaboration and exchange. Admission is free, with public access from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, and until 7 p.m. Saturday.

The 2025 edition features 17 competition categories, a new AI-focused Super Track powered by Chinese partner ZMROBOT, and participation from Robotex International—Europe’s largest robotics contest. A food and coffee area will be available outside the venue.

Organised by the University of Oradea with support from Visit Oradea, ARM, and ASIO, the championship highlights international teamwork and innovation in tech. Full schedule: Facebook page.
