North Macedonia's U19 futsal team secures draw against Montenegro

North Macedonia’s U19 futsal national team played out a 1:1 draw against Montenegro’s corresponding selection in the first friendly match between the two teams, played this evening in Tivat.

Coach Zoran Lekić’s charges took the lead in the 16th minute, when Jovan Bojčev found the hosts’ net to give North Macedonia a 1:0 advantage, CE Report informs via the Football Federation of North Macedonia's official website.

Montenegro managed to equalize in the 28th minute through Lazar Vorotović, setting the final score at 1:1.

In the 32nd minute, the hosts had a chance to complete the comeback, but failed to convert a penalty. North Macedonia’s goalkeeper Ilija Petreski reacted excellently, saving the spot-kick and preventing the opponents from taking the lead.

North Macedonia’s U19 futsal national team will play the second friendly match against Montenegro today at 11:00, providing another opportunity to assess the form and progress of the young internationals.
