Italian football star summoned by prosecutors

Alessandro Bastoni, a defender for Inter Milan and the Italy national football team, is under investigation on suspicion of soliciting a minor for prostitution as part of an inquiry led by prosecutor Rosaria Stagnaro and deputy chief prosecutor Bruna Albertini.

The investigation centers on an event management company based in Cinisello Balsamo that investigators believe organized "all-inclusive" evenings for VIP clients at fashionable venues in Milan, CE Report quotes ANSA.

According to La Repubblica, citing judicial sources, Bastoni received a summons on Tuesday requiring him to appear before prosecutors next Friday.

According to Italy's Guardia di Finanza, investigators believe he had a relationship with a girl who was 17 years old at the time of the alleged events.
