Moldova sees record turnout at youth Judo Championship
More than 400 Moldovan athletes under the age of 14 gathered this weekend for the National Judo Championship, aimed at promoting sporting performance from an early age and encouraging youth development in Olympic disciplines.
State Secretary at the Ministry of Education and Research, Sergiu Gurin, attended the award ceremony, congratulating participants and wishing them success in their future careers, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES.
“This competition represents just the beginning of a successful sporting career,” he said.
In the boys’ competition, national champions were:
Dragoș Solomon (-34 kg), Eidar Tașca (-38 kg), Roman Graur (-42 kg), Ivan Cuznețov (-46 kg), Aron Marjeni (-50 kg), Cezar Savițschi (-55 kg), David Tipu (-60 kg), Enoh Kenc (-66 kg), Damian Mocanu (-73 kg), and Vladimir Moldovan (+73 kg).
In the girls’ competition, national champions were:
Andreea Ungureanu (-30 kg), Elena Erhan (-32 kg), Andreea Dobrin (-36 kg), Galina Rusu (-40 kg), Beatrice Herța (-44 kg), Adriana Cricimar (-48 kg), Lidia Șarban (-52 kg), Mădălina Bălan (-57 kg), and Eugenia Roșca (-63 kg).
This year’s edition recorded a record number of participants.
