Despite the uncertainty, coach Álvaro Arbeloa appeared optimistic in the press conference, praising the commitment of the player, who has scored 13 goals this season in European competition.
However, statistics show that Mbappé’s knee has been a recurring problem since December, forcing him to miss key matches such as the one against Manchester City and to play limited minutes in the Super Cup clash against FC Barcelona.
