Turkish badminton stars line up for group stage battles in Europe’s top team event

A total of eight teams in both the women’s and men’s competitions will take part in the 10th European Team Badminton Championships, which will be held at the Başakşehir Sports Complex.

Host nation Türkiye will compete in the tournament with both its women’s and men’s national teams, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency.

European team badminton championships: Türkiye targets finals in both categories

The Turkish women’s national badminton team will compete in Group 2 alongside Bulgaria, Czechia, and France. Group 1 in the women’s competition includes Denmark — which has won seven titles, including the last five editions — as well as Germany, Estonia, and Ukraine.

The Turkish men’s national badminton team will face Germany, France, and Sweden in Group 2. In the men’s competition, Group 1 consists of Finland, England, and Spain, alongside Denmark, which has won the gold medal in all nine championships held so far.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals.
