North Macedonian tennis star climbs eight places in latest WTA rankings
The best Macedonian tennis player, Lina Gjorcheska, has moved up eight places in the latest WTA rankings.
She is now ranked 191st with 385 points, CE Report quotes MIA.
The rise is due to her quarter-final appearance at the WTA 125 tournament in Madrid.
Gjorcheska earned 27 points for reaching the quarter-finals, but 9 points from last year’s tournament in Koper were also dropped.
This week, the Macedonian tennis player will compete at the ITF W75 tournament in Portorož, where she will face Sweden’s Kajsa Rinaldo Persson in the first round tomorrow.
