FIFA and UEFA approve Kosovo FA statutory amendments
The International Federation of Football (FIFA) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), according to a letter published by the Football Federation of Kosovo (FFK), have officially confirmed that the FFK has approved statutory amendments in full compliance with their requirements, as well as with Law No. 08/L-277 on Sport and the recommendations of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.
In a joint letter addressed to FFK President Agim Ademi, it is emphasized that the amendments are the result of an inclusive consultation process between FIFA, UEFA, the FFK and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, with the participation of international representatives at all assemblies where the changes were approved.
In the same letter, FIFA and UEFA stress the importance of respecting the principle of institutional independence of the FFK and call for the electoral process to be conducted without undue interference from third parties, clarifying that issues of governance and membership fall under the exclusive authority of the federation’s statutory bodies.
The two institutions also confirm that their representatives will be present at the FFK Electoral Assembly on February 5, 2026, to observe the proper conduct of the process in accordance with the FFK Statute.
The FFK Electoral Assembly will be held on February 5, 2026.
