Romanian Gymnastics Federation announces athletes of year
The Romanian Gymnastics Federation (FRG) announced on Monday, in a statement published on its official website, that Ana-Maria Bărbosu, Nicholas Țarcă, and Leonard Manta were named the best gymnasts of the year 2025.
During a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Romanian Gymnastics Federation, the ranking of the top 10 athletes of 2025 was approved, based on the results achieved in competitions held throughout the year, CE Report quotes AGERPRES.
In women’s artistic gymnastics, first place was taken by Ana-Maria Bărbosu, followed by Alexia Elena Blănaru, Sabrina Maneca-Voinea, Aniela Maria Tudor, Denisa Maria Golgotă, Iris Diana Iordache, Bianca Elena Holban, Miruna Valentina Botez, Adelina Cristina Ionescu, and Daria Ștefania Tănasă, the latter tied with Alexandra Andreea Nica.
In the men’s artistic gymnastics rankings, Nicholas Țarcă finished in first place, followed by Alexandru Urzică, Gabriel Burtănete, Alexandru Ionescu, Nicolae Bera and Rafael Szabo (tied), Leo Jason Trandaburu, Zeno Kiss, Robert Burtănete, Radu Iustin Mihai, and Răzvan Costache.
In aerobic gymnastics, first place went to Leonard Manta, followed by Claudia Ristea, Daniel Tavoc, Vlăduț Popa, Darius Branda and Antonio Surdu (tied), Raisa Alexe, Ana Drăghici, Melisa Fărcuța, and Maria Toma.
As reported by CE Report, during the same meeting, the Executive Committee of the Romanian Gymnastics Federation also approved the competition calendar for 2026, as well as the schedule of fees and membership contributions for the year 2026.
